Office-Based Procedures

At One to One Female Care, we realize convenience and access is essential to superb patient care. That is why we are constantly adding the most advanced procedures and testing in the comfort, privacy and convenience of our office sites.

GYN Ultrasound & 3D Ultrasound

At One to One FemaleCare our physicians perform ultrasounds to examine the uterus, ovaries cervix and fallopian tubes, and identify or diagnose any problems. Gynecological ultrasounds can be used to screen for ovarian or uterine cancer, diagnose fibroids and detect cysts and masses. They can also help identify infertility causes, pelvic inflammatory disease, and endometriosis. The enhancement with 3D ultrasound has improved the detail and accuracy of these pelvic images which aids in our practitioners diagnosis.

Her Option® Cryoablation Therapy

Many women suffer from heavy menstrual bleeding that interrupts their daily lives. As many as 1:4 women suffer from chronically heavier and longer periods, this is known as abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) or menorrhagia.

At One to One FemaleCare, we are excited to offer a new solution for women who experience heavy bleeding. Her Option Cryoablation therapy is the only AUB treatment option designed for office use. During the procedure, your endometrium, the uterine lining that sheds each month and causes your menstrual periods, is destroyed by cryoablation therapy.  It uses sub-zero temperatures to create a natural analgesic affect and painlessly reduce or eliminate the uterine lining.

Her Option has been reported to achieve a 91% effective rate in decreasing menstrual bleeding and with the added bonus of relieving other PMS symptoms as well.

Saline Infusion Sonography (SIS)

Saline infusion sonography, also known as sonohysterography, is a screening procedure that checks for intrauterine abnormalities to help identify potential infertility problems. When a sonohysterography is performed a catheter is inserted into the uterine canal to allow saline to be infused which enlarges the cavity and makes any problems more visible on the ultrasound screen.  This procedure can test for congenital defects, masses, scarring, polyps or fibroids. The providers at One to One FemaleCare will perform this non-invasive, painless procedure that takes approximately 30 minutes in the comforts of our office.

Incontinence & Urodynamic Studies

Incontinence or bladder control problems in women usually occur because of muscles that help to hold or release urine. These muscles can become weakened due to childbirth, weight gain, medications or urinary tract infections. Bladder control problems can occur at any age and they usually do not cause major health problems, but they can be embarrassing.

At One to One FemaleCare, our staff will review your bladder symptoms and likely suggest a series of tests known as urodynamic studies. We perform these studies in the privacy of our office to diagnosis the underlying condition which will help resolve your discomfort.

Endometrial Biopsy

Endometrial biopsy is a quick, painless procedure that exams the endometrium (the inside lining of the uterus) for abnormalities or signs of cancer. The biopsy is done by taking a tissue sample of the endometrium and checking it under a microscope. This test is usually performed to determine the cause of abnormal menstrual periods, bleeding after menopause or to screen for endometrial cancer.

If you have an abnormal pap smear or a diagnosis of HPV a colposcopy may be recommended by our providers at One to One FemaleCare. Because the Pap smear can only screen for potential problems, not diagnose them, our providers may want to take a closer look at your cervix to determine the cause of your abnormal Pap smear results.

A colposcopy is a procedure that uses a colposcope, like a microscope, to magnify and get an enhanced view of the cervix or vulvar area. If a lesion or abnormal tissue is suspected a biopsy will be performed. A colposcopy is a very safe procedure with few complications.

LEEP Procedure

The physicians at One to One FemaleCare perform the 20-30 minute LEEP procedure in our office, when a pap indicates the presence of abnormal cervical cells, or cervical dysplasia. The LEEP procedure is one of several procedures we have available to treat abnormal cervical cells. During the procedure, the cells are removed to prevent development of cervical cancer.

At One to One FemaleCare, we perform Cryosurgery only after a colposcopy confirms the presence of abnormal cervical cells. Cervical cryosurgery or cryotherapy is a gynecological treatment that freezes a section of the cervix. Cryosurgery of the cervix is most often done to destroy abnormal cervical cells that show changes that may lead to cancer. These changes are called precancerous cells. Our Clinical staff may use the term cervical dysplasia to explain the affected tissue. Cyrotherapy is also used for the treatment of cervicitis or inflammation of the cervix.
